Tammy began her career as a Chartered Professional Accountant in public practice in 1988 and became an Associate with the firm in 1991. Being directly involved in the evolution of the firm and with more than 30 years of professional accounting service experience Tammy treats the firm and all the clients like family. Tammy recently transitioned into advisory services with a focus on estate planning and assisting clients with present and future planning through The Virtus Vault.
After working one-on-one with many small and medium sized owner-managed businesses in all areas including audit and assurance, personal and corporate tax planning, succession planning, operational efficiency, and general business advice Tammy found it important to build on the personal relationships and business experiences to work with clients to give them peace of mind in knowing that all their information related to their estate was organized and securely stored.
She has always focused on developing long term relationships with clients that allowed her to identify her client’s needs and offer practical solutions and strategies to simplify their accounting and tax issues. Now Tammy focuses on helping alleviate clients’ stress by ensuring that their loved ones are protected and their estates are taken care of in a timely and efficient manner. The best part of her career has been the ability to assist clients in solving not only their business issues but estate matters as well.
Tammy and her husband Kelly have been involved in the firm for almost 30 years so it is their second family and home When she isn’t with her Virtus family she is involved with their two grown daughters actively starting their own careers, doing yoga and planning travel adventures with Kelly.
